 About the Ranch
Bar S Ranch is a clothing free country club and resort located on 400 acres of gently rolling meadows and woodlands. Come enjoy our dream. Leave the stresses and pressures of life behind while you relax in the tranquility, security and privacy you will find at the Bar S Ranch.

 Common Hesitations
  • Everyone will be staring at me!
    - If you walk through a mall nude, people certainly would. Here everyone is nude and it is highly unlikely.

  • I'm (pick one) - too fat, too skinny, etc.
    - Our members are not beauty queen or Greek gods, just ordinary people like you.

  • What if someone I know is there?
    - If they are here, they are nude also. Now you have something else in common.

  • What if someone finds out I'm a nudist?
    - We go to great lengths to protect the privacy of our members and guests. Nudism is really not anything to be ashamed of; it is practiced worldwide.

  • Swimming - The swimming pool is now the main attraction at the Bar S Ranch. But before we had a swimming pool, all we had was the lake as show in the picture above. We spent many a hot summer day sitting in truck inner tubes and floating the day away on the lake. Now most of the inner tubes have rotted away. If you have any truck inner tubes you would like to give to the Bar -S. We would love to have them so some of are older members could float down memory lane. If you like you can still swim in the lake. It is a good place to do long distance swimming. The swimming pool is only three feet deep which makes it just right to stand in the water and carry on a conversation with fellow guests. Or take quick dips into pool to cool down as you lay on one of the lounges as you get your all over tan.

  • The Trails - Bar S Ranch has miles and miles of beautiful trails for you to enjoy. Grab you a walking stick and enjoy the scenery, or rent you a golf cart and you and that special someone pack a picnic and enjoy the trails.

  • Reading - Reading is one of the favorite pastimes of our guest. They read while sunning themselves or even while in the pool. The club has a large collection of books; paperbacks and maga- zines in the new wing for you're reading enjoyment. Members for the reading pleasure of all have donated the books and magazines to the club library. If you get interested in a book while you are at the club, feel free to take it with you so you can find out if the butler did it. We accept donations of books, paperbacks and magazines for the library at any time with the exception of magazines that have been used in a doctors or dentist waiting room. The magazines we have at the libary are old enough. Pleasant reading to all.

  • Lake Wanda - Fishing is favorite pastime of a lot of our guests. The lake is well stocked with bream, shellcrackers, crappie and bass. Almost all pan fish are "keepers"; however, wildlife laws require that all bass under 14 inches in length be thrown back. You are allowed to use all artificial baits and most live baits. However you are not allowed to use MINNOWS. The lake is a little over seven acres and there are areas in the lake that is over thirty feet in depth. Two canoes and two pedal boats are available to our guests. You can bring your own canoe or boat to use, just no motorboats. However only persons capable of swimming from the middle of the lake should use the boats. Canoe paddles and life preservers may be checked out at the clubhouse. Life preservers are required for children under 12. The canoes and pedal boats are free to use, just take care of them so others may enjoy the pleasures of fishing. You may fish along the banks of the lake, off the docks and ampitheater stage. It has been notice the fisherman with the most luck, seem to fish off the pedal boats and cast toward the shore.

  • Camping - At this time, most of the people, who tent camp, tent around Lake Wanda as shown in the picture at the top of this page. This area is convenient to the clubhouse. In the near future, we hope to have another tent camping area in the woods just off of Becky's trail. There will be campsite with picnic tables, water and electric supplies for those tent campers who would like to have those types of conveniences. This area is also close to the bathhouse and yet just a short walk through the woods to the clubhouse. This area will accommodate tent, small campers, and van camping. This will give campers a shady and quite area to enjoy on a hot summer day. The bathhouse is equipped with four showers of which two are outside showers. There are also four toilets and four sinks inside the bathhouse for the use by the campers. There is also an outside kitchen sink for use by the campers to clean there dishes after meals. The bathhouse has a hundred and fifty-gallon hot water heater. The RV camping sites are just off the golf course in the woods. There are twelve sites of which six are pull-through sites. Three of the pull-through sites can handle the large type bus RVs that can run over sixty feet in length. It is requested that you make reservation for the RV sites before coming. Reservations are not needed for tent camping.
